A FREE FAMILY FUN FILLED FESTIVAL
ATLANTA - The Mecca of the South, said to be "Black Hollywood" the new hub for the entertainment industry is swiftly defining the culture. Atlanta has always been a city to produce talented individuals and birth legendary artists to date such as T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Andre 3000, Big Boi, Gucci Mane, and many others.
On Saturday, October 6th & Sunday, October 7th, 2018, The 8th Annual ATL Hip Hop Day will be held at Woodruff Park in Downtown Atlanta. The two-day festival hosted by the infamous DJ Scream is set to bring out a mixed crowd of ATL music lovers new and old as we pay homage to Southern artists and Southern-style artistry. The festival continues its tradition as a FREE attraction which also includes an assortment of vendors for indulging in food and beverages and flea market shopping. The festival is proud to announce its sponsors MARTA, Metro PCS, and Rent a Wheel Rent A Tire. Performers will be announced momentarily as we near the festival date.
In preparation for the festival, the committee is accepting local artist submissions for selection by Wednesday, August 15th and vendors to submit no later than Saturday, September 15th. ATL Hip Hop Day was founded on the mission of creating a free and welcoming atmosphere for music lovers with an emphasis on ATL artists and the overall Atlanta culture. With approximately 10,000+ attendees in previous years, much anticipation has been built up. In the past, the artists have included T.I., Yung LA, Sy Ari Da Kid, Trouble, Scotty ATL, Bone Crusher, Organized Noise, Murphy Lee, and Pastor Troy amongst others.
